Three great locations to choose from: Manta, Montanita, and QuitoEcuador is one action packed, wildlife filled, pocket sized country of amazing diversity. About the size of Nevada, the UK or New Zealand, it has everything. High snow capped Andean Volcanoes, teeming Amazon, cloud forest, amazing beaches and of course the Galapagos islands! Manta Manta is a picturesque and important port on the Pacific Ocean, located in a dry tropical forest with an average annual temperature of 25 degrees Celsius (77 F). It is still largely untouched by non Ecuadorian tourism, so is a great place to taste the real Ecuador, and the real people. It has a famous beach, and is becoming more and more a destination for Kiteboarding. Just 20 minutes away is one of the best (and cheapest) places in the world to kiteboard/kitesurf and learn this exciting sport. Manta also offers a very rewarding volunteer program with a paediatric clinic. Help the disadvantaged children of Ecuador. Montanita Montanita is on the lips of all travellers to Ecuador! It has become the hot destination! A funky small pueblo (town) of only a few thousand, it is has a great beach, and also arguably the best surf in South America! If you every wanted to surf, or are already surfer, this is the location for you! There is also very good Diving, and its proximity to whale watching, important archaeological sites, and the wildlife of Isa Del Plata (called by Lonely planet the poor mans Galapagos owing to great value and teeming with wildlife), and ecological Volunteer programs means that it has something for everyone! Quito The colonial capital of Ecuador stands majestically amongst the snow capped mountain of the Andes. Quito is a destination in itself with a vibrant nightlife, plazas, parks and many attractions. It is also a stepping off point for the indigenous markets, Cotopaxi National Parks, and many other adventures. Our school in Quito is a great place to learn Spanish with additional courses including medical Spanish, volunteer work (many project with poor people), as well as cultural programs.
